Processed NeverWorld2 data used in Loose et al., "Diagnosing scale-dependent energy cycles in a high-resolution isopycnal ocean model", JPO (2022). <br> The netcdf files <br> * bleck_cycle_fac16_500days.nc * bleck_cycle_fac32_500days.nc * bleck_cycle_fac64_500days.nc * bleck_cycle_fac128_500days.nc * lorenz_cycle_fac32_500days.nc <br> contain 500-day averaged depth-integrated data for the Bleck/Lorenz energy cycles, i.e., energy reservoirs and transfers between reservoirs. The multiplier after "fac"--16, 32, 64, 128--is the filter factor that has been used to filter the data from 1/32 degree. The 4 factors therefore correspond to filter scales of 1/2, 1, 2, 4 degrees. <br> The netcdf files <br> * wind_work_diags_spatial_fac32_500days.nc * wind_work_diags_temporal_500days.nc <br> contain the 500-day averaged 3d wind work, computed with a spatial and temporal filter, respectively (see Figure 5 in paper). <br>
本数据集为Loose等人2022年发表于《Journal of Physical Oceanography(JPO)》的论文《高分辨率等密度海洋模式中的尺度依赖能量循环诊断》中所使用的预处理后的NeverWorld2数据。
下述NetCDF(网络通用数据格式)文件:

* bleck_cycle_fac128_500days.nc
* lorenz_cycle_fac32_500days.nc
包含布莱克(Bleck)与洛伦兹(Lorenz)能量循环的500天平均深度积分数据,具体涵盖能量库及各能量库间的能量传输项。其中“fac”后的乘数(16、32、64、128)为针对1/32度分辨率原始数据进行滤波所用的滤波因子,上述4个因子分别对应1/2、1、2、4度的滤波尺度。
另有下述两个NetCDF文件:
* wind_work_diags_spatial_fac32_500days.nc
* wind_work_diags_temporal_500days.nc
二者分别包含经500天平均的三维风做功数据,且分别通过空间滤波与时间滤波计算得到(详见论文中图5)。
