Within the tumor microenvironment, heme exposure drives the transformation of macrophages into Arg1high Spp1high heme-TAMs with an enhanced matrix remodeling program and suppressed immunity, resisting inflammatory rewiring by INFγ and LPS. This is a joint analysis of two spheroids experiments (GSE236576 and GSE236995). Sample details can be found in the respective studies.
