Brucellosis being a highly contagious zoonosis that occurs worldwide together with being endemic in Egypt. Control of brucellosis in animals require vaccination and eradication of infected animals. While, in humans no vaccination is found and treatment is a combination of antibiotics recommended by the World Health Organization. Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) is a widely used molecular typing method. The study aimed to confirm Brucella at the species level and investigate AMR and pathogenicity associateddeterminants of the isolates obtained from different localities in Egypt based onwhole genome analysis.
