Genome sequencing effort to understand the genome evolution and gene loss in relation to plant-sap diet of leafhopper hosts for the Co-primary symbiont, Candidatus Nasuia deltocephalinicola, of the Aster Leafhopper, Macrosteles quadrilineatus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae). Additional goal include understanding the origins of the symbionts of the Auchenorrhyncha (Hemiptera) and their replacements.
