Data and Code Supporting "Contrasting Spatial Patterns of Dissolved and Particulate Iron and Their Associations With Surface Potential Primary Productivity Around Hainan Island, South China Sea"

This dataset and the accompanying code support the manuscript “Contrasting Spatial Patterns of Dissolved and Particulate Iron and Their Associations With Surface Potential Primary Productivity Around Hainan Island, South China Sea.” The dataset includes field observations of dissolved iron (DFe), particulate iron (PFe), chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), suspended particulate matter (SPM), salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, total nitrogen (TN), and total phosphorus (TP) collected around Hainan Island in March 2025, together with estimates of surface potential primary productivity (NPPpot). The accompanying code supports data processing, NPPpot calculation, statistical analyses, and reproduction of the main results. Detailed descriptions of the files and methodological notes are provided in README.txt.
