The white vessel is covered with cobalt-tinted decorations in the style characteristic of Ligurian manufactories. On a wide ribbon on the belly there is an inscription: Sir(upus)∙De Liquirit (ia), i.e. liquorice syrup. It is also called Syrupus Glycyrrhizae.
