We determine the impact of gut microbiota in pre-clinical models of pulmonary fibrosis in different sub-strains of C57BL/6 experimental mice derived from vendors (C57BL/6J and C57BL/6Cr). We use germ free models, fecal microbiota transplantation and cohousing approaches to transmit gut microbiota and investigate causality.
