This dataset supports an in vivo evaluation of plant-based vascular grafts for small-diameter vessel replacement. Grafts were made from decellularized leatherleaf viburnum reinforced with cross-linked gelatin and conditioned in a bioreactor before implantation in a rat model. Plant-derived grafts maintained patency and supported endothelialization, with histology and electron microscopy suggesting similarities to native vascular tissue. These findings demonstrate the feasibility of using plant-based scaffolds in vascular applications and their potential for advancing tissue-engineered graft design.
