From Ethnologue - the number of individual languages listed for Vanuatu is 113. Of these, 111 are living and 2 are extinct. Of the living languages, 109 are indigenous and 2 are non-indigenous. Furthermore, 5 are institutional, 21 are developing, 30 are vigorous, 44 are in trouble, and 11 are dying.
