Measuring the awareness of SDGs

This research investigates the awareness and perception of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among the academic community at Mirpur University of Science & Technology (MUST) in District Mirpur, Azad Jammu Kashmir. The study employs a quantitative methodology, utilizing survey as the primary data collection method. Further the objectives of this study are to assess the level of awareness and knowledge of SDGs, particularly focusing on SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), among the university community. Using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), through descriptive statistics and correlation analysis, the study presents a nuanced understanding of the data, revealing meaningful insights into the relationships among various variables. The findings contribute insights into the gaps and perceptions regarding SDGs at MUST, and their potential impact on informing SDG implementation in the context of Mirpur AJK. The study's results provide valuable implications for enhancing the integration of SDGs in the university curriculum and fostering a culture of sustainable development awareness.
