There were 116 individuals performed OGTT (75 g of glucose) after 8 hour fasting, and samples for plasma glucose, insulin and proinsulin were drawn at 0, 30, 60, 120 and 180 minutes. Based on their 2 hour postprandial plasma glucose, the individuals were divided into three groups: NGT1 group (n=41): 2hPPG <6.67mmol/L; NGT2 group (n=40): 6.67≤2hPPG <7.78mmol/L; IGT group (n=35): 7.78≤ 2hPPG <11.1mmol/L.Data are presented as means±SDData are presented as means ± SD; * indicates P <0.05 compared with the NGT1 group. † indicates P <0.05 compared with NGT2 group.
