Effect of volcanic eruption on bacterial communities in Argentinian lakes.. freshwater metagenome

A mesocosm experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of volcanic eruption on bacterial communities from a high DOC lake (Lake Escondido) and a low DOC lake (Lake Gutiérrez). The experiment involved three treatments for each of the lake. A control treatment receiving irradiance at deep chlorophyll maxima, a dark treatment receiving no light and a pumice treatment covered with floating pumice collected during the volcanic eruption.
