A dataset of yield and morphology traits of a large collection of plantain variety (Musa accuminata x Musa balbisiana)

This dataset describes 135 varieties of plantains cultivated in non-limiting nutritional conditions, as a varietal collection, in the CARBAP research station (Cameroun). The dataset includes : 1 data dictionary and 1 data file. Each variety was replicated 5 times and monitored for 5 cycles. Growth parameters (height and girth circonference) were observed monthly on the first cycle and at flowering for the following cycles. Leaf area of some remarkable leaves were measured at cycles 1, 3, 4 and 5 and enabled to calculate the plant total leaf area for the cycles 3 to 5. The data file also includes intervals related to plant phenology in days an in degree-days for the 5 cycles and yield components for the 5 cycles. Finally, observations on the ratoon in cycle 2 to 5 are available.
