OVERVIEW The zip archives contain single-shot images as .mat file (MATLAB readable). Each .mat file can be loaded into the MATLAB workspace using the load command and contains 5 variables (dimension: 128x432 double): data: JIRAM L-band imager data after the correction for the M-filter interference data_raw: JIRAM L-band imager data before the correction for the M-filter interference x, y, z: coordinates corresponding to data and data_raw on the surface of Jupiter. They are expressed in a frame corotating with Jupiter ('IAU_JUPITER' in SPICE). FP_JIRAM_dataset.zip The achive FP_JIRAM_dataset.zip contains 37 .mat files consisting of images of the footprint tails of Io, Europa and Ganymede used to compute Fig.2. The labels are assigned according to the scheme SS_PJNNH_YYYY_MMM_DD_hh:mm:ss.mat, where: SS refers to the moon (Io, Eu or Ga) NN is the perijove number H is the hemisphere YYYY_MMM_DD_hh:mm:ss is the date of the image (year, month, day, hour, minute, second). Io_PJ13S_2018_MAY_24.zip The achive Io_PJ13S_2018_MAY_24.zip contains 16 .mat files consisting of images of the footprint tails of Io during PJ13 observed in the southern hemisphere. These images were displayed in Fig. 3. The naming of each file follows the same rules as the FP_JIRAM_dataset.zip archive.
