Primary Studies - Systematic Literature Review of Automated Lip Reading (2002 - 2025)

This deposit contains a bibliographic record of the 249 peer-reviewed primary studies identified by a PRISMA-conformant systematic literature review on Automated Lip Reading, Visual Speech Recognition, and Audio-Visual Speech Recognition published between January 2002 and December 2025. The studies were retrieved from ACM, dblp, IEEE Xplore, MDPI, PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science, supplemented by Google Scholar and citation snowballing. Each record includes serial number, title, year, and DOI. A README file accompanying the CSV documents the search strategy, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and known limitations. This deposit is provided as supplementary material to Chapter 2 of the corresponding PhD thesis (University College Dublin, 2026).
