Cerenkov and radioluminescence real-time two-dimensional dosimetry in the FLASH regime
收藏资源简介:
Optical Imaging Data for FLASH Beam Characterization and Dosimetry Description This dataset contains the raw optical images and corresponding Gafchromic film scans acquired for the study: "Cerenkov and radioluminescence real time 2D dosimetry in the FLASH regime" The study investigates Cerenkov light imaging (CLI) and radioluminescence imaging (RLI) for real-time beam characterization and dosimetric monitoring in ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) electron irradiation. The experiments were performed using a 9 MeV electron beam delivered by an ElectronFlash (SIT Sordina) linear accelerator at the Centro Pisano FLASH Radiotherapy, Pisa, Italy. The dataset includes measurements performed using plastic scintillator, PMMA slabs, and ex vivo chicken tissue, as well as Gafchromic film measurements used as a reference for beam characterization. Experimental setup Optical signals were acquired using a CMOS camera (Prime BSI Express, Teledyne Photometrics) equipped with a 2048 × 2048 pixel sensor and an F/1.4, 8 mm focal length C-mount lens. The camera was positioned laterally with respect to the irradiated object at a distance of approximately 1 m. The observation angle was adjusted according to the specific experiment. Two interchangeable applicators with diameters of 1 cm and 3 cm were used. For optical measurements, the lens aperture and camera exposure time were adjusted according to the intensity of the detected optical signal. A wider aperture was generally used for Cerenkov light imaging than for radioluminescence imaging because of the lower intensity of the Cerenkov emission. Dataset structure The dataset is organized according to the experimental measurements described in the manuscript: ├── Linearity_dose-per-pulse_3cm/├── Linearity_dose-per-pulse_1cm/├── Linearity_pulse-duration_1cm/├── Dose-rate_independence/├── Beam_verification/├── Beam_perturbation/├── Angular_dependence_chicken/└── Polarization/ Gafchromic film scans are included in the corresponding experiment folders, where available. The scans have already been converted to absorbed dose values and are reported in cGy. The metadata provided are generally applicable to all measurements, with the exception of the acquisition ROI dimensions, which may vary depending on the dataset. Image format and frame selection Optical images are provided in TIFF format and contain the camera frames selected from the original image sequences. For each measurement set, only frames containing the radiation-induced optical signal were retained, while frames acquired without an irradiation pulse ("empty" frames) were excluded from the dataset. This selection was performed to reduce the size of the dataset while preserving the frames relevant to the analysis presented in the manuscript. For each measurement set, a corresponding background image is also provided. Unless otherwise specified, the provided optical images have not been subjected to: * perspective correction;* spatial registration;* normalization;* filtering;* ROI-based thresholding;* pixel-wise comparison or other analysis-specific processing. The images therefore retain the original spatial and intensity information of the selected camera frames.
