Haplotype-Resolved Genome Assemblies and a Structural Variant Catalog for Commercial crossbred Pigs

The Duroc × (Landrace × Yorkshire) three‑way cross (DLY) is a predominant commercial pig line worldwide. However, the absence of genomic resources has hindered investigations into structural variants (SVs) and their potential contribution to heterosis. Here, we generated 16 haplotype‑resolved, chromosome‑level genome assemblies from eight DLY pigs by integrating long read (~28×) and short read (~31×) sequencing data. The assemblies displayed high continuity (contig N50: 18.17–29.54 Mb) and completeness (BUSCO: 99.3–99.4%).
