Data and code for "The Unequal Socioeconomic Risks of Global Terrestrial Moisture Recycling"

This repository contains the replication package for the paper “The Unequal Socioeconomic Risks of Global Terrestrial Moisture Recycling” by Sandy Sum, Simon Fahrländer, Lauren S. Andersen, Richard Damania, Johan Rockström, Ram Fishman, and Tamma Carleton. The repository includes scripts for processing and merging gridded evapotranspiration inflows and outflows, constructing socioeconomic-weighted moisture dependence measures, forecasting GDP impacts for a deforestation scenario, and generating the figures reported in the main text. All processed intermediate data products and raw data used for analysis and figure replication are provided in the int_data/ and raw_data/ directories respectively, and figure-generation scripts export outputs to 2_output/. Please refer to README.md for a thorough description of the replication package. This is a WIP repository and additional code, raw datasets, and documentation will be added as they are finalized.
