资源简介:
This framework consists of a viable configuration to establish relationships between 114 identified Lean Product Development (LPD) practices (lines), and 11 categories of waste that may affect New Product Development (NPD) (columns) from the perspective of different authors. Associated with the categories of wastes collected, 47 types of problems were identified. The relationship between waste and practices was established from the analysis of 220 studies. This matrix explains the logic underpinning the construction of the relationship matrix, based on a spreadsheet containing over 1,300 relationships between LPD versus waste practices versus authors. Analysis of the matrix enabled the identification of LPD practices that can attenuate waste in the context of NPD (all raised in the literature researched). It was also possible to establish a theoretical basis for the relationship between practice and waste. This study could contribute to the identification of theoretical gaps and opportunities for future studies on this issue. Analyzing the matrix in more detail, it was observed that some practices relate to only one of the waste categories, such as the “Strategy to increase consumer involvement,” which related only to the “Excessive processing” waste category; the “Price practices (target prices and shared cost reduction due to improvement efforts),” which related only to the “Reinvention” category; and the “Poka Yoke,” “Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)” and “TQM” practices, which related only to the “Defects” waste category. Thus, the latter waste category was the one that presented the most practices with only one relationship.<br>
