资源简介:
The Tasmanian devil (Sarcophilus harrisii) is endangered due to the spread of Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD), a contagious cancer with no current treatment options. Here we test whether seven recently characterized Tasmanian devil cathelicidins are toxic to DFTD and/or involved in cancer regulation. DFT1 1426 cells were treated with one of seven cathelicidins (Saha-CATH1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7) in triplicate, as well as a vehicle control (n = 24 total). Total RNA was extracted from each sample and Illumina TruSeq mRNA libraries prepared, which were sequenced as 2 x 150bp paired-end reads across an SP flowcell on the NovaSeq6000
