ACTLAS – The Online Atlas of Actions for Transparency, Accountability, Integrity, and Anti- Corruption by the RESPOND project

Database and supporting documents of the ACTLAS – the Atlas of Actions for Transparency, Accountability, Integrity, and Anti- Corruption – , a dynamic repository of initiatives helping civil society, governments, and institutions build transparent, accountable, and integrity-driven systems. It enables users to identify relevant cases, compare approaches, and take concrete action against corruption and undue influence. Link: https://www.eu-respond.eu/actlas/ This online atlas is a deliverable of RESPOND (Rescuing Democracy from Political Corruption in Digital Societies), a research project funded by the European Union and led by the University of Bologna (Italy), in collaboration with a consortium of 17 partners that started in 2024 and will end in 2029. In its initial phase, ACTLAS features a total of 147 single initiatives operating primarily in countries where the RESPOND research project has conducted in-depth qualitative research—namely Sweden, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Hungary, and Serbia—as well as at the European Union level. Some initiatives operate across multiple countries, bringing the total number of map pins to 158. ACTLAS is based solely from publicly available online sources and offers an interactive platform that makes it easy to find, explore, and compare information about the mapped actions. It is accessible through an interactive platform featuring a map and filtering tools, as well as in a downloadable CSV format, making it a practical resource for users seeking comprehensive information on these efforts. The online atlas was developed by NET7 and the University of Bologna, with the contributions of researchers involved in the research teams from the following partners of the RESPOND consortium: University of Amsterdam, IGA – Institute for Global Analytics, and ACREC – Anti-Corruption Research and Education Centre. The data was collected from May 2024 to April 2026. As a living resource, the ACLTAS can be updated at any time. Organisations and initiatives listed have the option to opt out by contacting RESPOND by email ([e-mail]) to to add their respective actions by completing the Submit an Iniative form.
