Lamont-Doherty Cooperative Seismographic Network

LCSN operates 42 broadband and 2 short-period seismographic stations in the northeastern United States in partnership with over 60 educational and public organizations. The primary objective is to monitor earthquakes in the region to evaluate earthquake hazard, to study source process, to understand the current tectonics, and to promote education and public outreach. Data are exclusively acquired via the Internet in real time and are permanently archived at the IRIS-DMC. LCSN is a partner of the Advanced National Seismic System lead by the U.S. Geological Survey.
