Number of rail passengers in Azerbaijan 2000-2022

In 2022, over five million people traveled by railway in Azerbaijan, more than doubling the previous year's figure. In the period of consideration, the passenger volume mainly followed an increasing trend and peaked at nearly 6.6 million individuals in 2007. Afterward, this figure dropped to approximately 1.9 million passengers in 2015. Since then, the number of passengers traveling by train in Azerbaijan has fluctuated considerably.
