Data_Beyond citation rates: Real-time impact analysis of health professions education research via altmetrics

<b>Data Content</b>This Excel file provides access to altmetrics data for 13 health professions education journals. Altmetrics data provides counts of alternative metric activity, such as tweets, facebook posts, and news media mentions. This data also includes the Altmetric Attention Score for each article. Article metadata such as title, publication date, and journal are included. <br><b>Organization</b>The spreadsheet is laid out by article. Each article is identifiable by its unique PubMed ID. This data was extracted in July 2016 using the Altmetric Explorer and PubMed. <br><br><br><b>Access and Dissemination</b>This data has been analyzed and submitted for publication to <i>Academic Medicine</i>. Altmetric LLC has granted permission for the deposit of this data.
