This repository contains the input and results data to: Schmidt et al. (2025), "Electrified heating strongly increases long-duration storage requirements in a renewable European energy system". The data set consists of two highly compressed tar.xz files. Name Description data.tar.xz Input dataset containing technology and curated weather input data results_parquet.tar.xz Optimization outputs for all model runs across scenarios and weather years in .parquet format. To use this in the context of the results analysis of the linked gitlab repo, .parquet files need to be converted to .csv or code needs to be adjusted to read parquet instead.
