Modulation of Syndecan-1/4 reduces the invasive potential of endometrioma through TGF-β signalling

We report that modulation of high SDC -1/-4 within certain endometriomas in women having ovarian endometriosis, reversed its higher invasion potential and downregulated several molecules incolved in cancer development. Endometrioma stromal cells were transiently silenced for SDC-1 andSDC-4, followed by TGF-β stimulation in vitro within 3D-invasion assay. RNA sequnecing were perfomed on harvested spheroids from 3D invasion assay (with/without TGF-β stimulation or SDC-1 or SDC4 silencing) using Smart-seq2 protocol , tagmentation via Nextera kit and sequenced using Nextseq 550. Data were analysed using Partek Flow Genomic analysis software.
