资源简介:
Thanks to their strong gastric-acid-suppression effect, proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) have become one of the most frequently prescribed medicine. On the other hand, some side effects have been reported, and one of them is the increased risk of intestinal infectious diseases. It is assumed that PPIs could increase susceptibility to enteric pathogens by multiple mechanisms, however, the mechanism of it has not been fully clarified yet. We explored the effect of PPIs on the change of intestinal environment, and whether PPIs could expose mice to high susceptibility to intestinal infection.C57BL/6 mice were given antisecretory dose of Lansoprazole (Laz) intraperitoneally once daily. As infectious models, mice were administrated with enteric bacterial pathogen Citrobacter rodentium orally after lansoprazole administration.Changes of intestinal microbiota was evaluated by 16SrRNA analysis.
