To study the role of Elp3 in pancreatic homeostasis and pancreatitis, pancreas tissues were collected from Elp3(fl/fl); Pdx-Cre and wild-type mice either untreated or after caerulein-induced pancreatitis. RNA sequencing was performed to identify transcriptional changes associated with Elp3 loss and pancreatic injury. Overall design: Pancreatic tissues were collected from Elp3(fl/fl); Pdx-Cre (Elp3 knockout) and Elp3 wild-type mice under two conditions: untreated and caerulein-induced pancreatitis. Mice were administered six caerulein injections over three injection days (every other day), and the pancreas was harvested the day after the final caerulein injection. Each group included four biological replicates. RNA was extracted and subjected to RNA sequencing to assess gene expression changes associated with Elp3 deletion and/or pancreatitis. The four experimental groups were: control Elp3 wild-type, control Elp3 knockout, caerulein Elp3 wild-type, and caerulein Elp3 knockout.
