资源简介:
Pseudomonas jordanii strain G34 is a moderately halophilic bacterial endophyte isolated from sterilized roots of Durum wheat (Triticum turgidum ssp. durum), an essential crop growing in hot arid environment of Jordan Valley (Ghor Safi area). Here, we report the draft genome sequence and annotation of this plant growth promoting endophytic bacteria. The draft genome sequence of Pseudomonas jordanii has 5,142,528 bp with a G+C content of 64.0%. A total of 4756 protein-coding genes, and 57 RNA coding genes were predicted. Putative genes involved in various characteristics of bacterial endophyte lifestyle such as transport, motility, adhesion, secretion and delivery systems and plant cell wall modification were identified. Genome analysis and phylogenomic analysis showed Pseudomonas jordanii to be a new species with the closest relative Pseudomonas argentinensis LMG 22563 sharing only around 40.2% identity. Pseudomonas jordanii has plant growth promoting effects on Durum wheat grown under salinity stress up to 200mM NaCl concentration.
