The RAMIE dataset was developed by the University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands, specifically for surgical phase recognition during robot-assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE). This dataset comprises 27 videos covering the thoracic phase from the thoracic inlet to pre-esophageal dissection, with a total of 13 distinct surgical phases identified. The dataset was constructed via video annotation conducted by biomedical engineering PhD candidates under the supervision of medical PhD candidates and expert surgeons, with an annotation frame rate of 25 frames per second. This dataset aims to support surgical phase recognition and analysis by providing complex temporal dynamic data, thereby optimizing surgical workflows and improving the therapeutic outcomes of esophageal cancer treatment.
