资源简介:
"Systematic Analysis for Global Environmental Change and Life on Earth (SAGE) Project" is one of the transdisdisciplinary research projects of the Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS), including the National Institute of Polar Research, the National Institute of Genetics, the National Institute of Informatics, the Institute of Statistical Mathematics and the Transdisdisciplinary Research Integration Center. The final goal of the SAGE project is to elucidate the mechanisms and relationships concerning the evolution of organisms and their adaptation to global environmental changes on the Earth. The SAGE project is especially focusing Arctic and Antarctic environmental changes and those ecosystems. Because Antarctica, which had dramatically changed its climate since 65 million years ago, is currently extreme environment for organisms to survive by low temperature, limited energy and nutrients sources and also Arctic region, which had decreased its climate since 10 million years ago.
