Metagenomics of intestinal contents in balb/c mice

This metagenomic sequencing dataset is derived from the intestinal contents of a mouse model investigating the therapeutic effects of Chaihu Guizhi Decoction (CGD) on influenza A virus and Staphylococcus aureus co-infection. The study includes three experimental groups: a Control group (healthy, untreated mice), a Model group (mice with viral-bacterial co-infection), and a CGD treatment group (co-infected mice administered CGD). The objective is to characterize how CGD intervention alters the composition and function of the gut microbiome, thereby providing insights into its potential mechanism of action via the gut-lung axis in mitigating the severity of co-infection.
