This Dataset contains all material exploited in the article: Monitoring reproduction in cryptic small mammals; Using body temperature to identify parturition in an endangered rodent by Timothée Gérard, Hugo Chignec and Caroline Habold. Females common hamster reproduction and body temperature were monitored in laboratory conditions (n = 19, in Strasbourg) and mesocosm (n = 123, in Ittenheim), Alsace, France. The monitoring was conducted during 2022 to 2025 reproductive seasons (April - September). The aim of the article is to identify a parturition-specific variation in body temperature and how this signal is impacted by litter characteristics.
