Morphological Links Between Marine Snow and Bloom-forming Diatoms Datasets
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the datasets supporting the results presented in Morphological Links Between Marine Snow and Bloom-forming Datioms, submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans. The study investigates how the morphology of phytoplankton species dictates the morphology of marine snow from which they form in a laboratory setting. These datasets include quantitative morphological parameters for phytoplankton species and their respective marine snow aggregates from the genera: Melosira, Chaetoceros, Skeletonema, Thalassionema, and Ditylum. Marine snow morphology was derived from image analysis and included size, shape, and structural metrics. Measurements are provided for monoculture and co-culture treatments spanning a gradient of initial species proportions. All files are provided in open, machine-readable formats to facilitate reuse and reproducibility.
