Our genome sequencing project for Neopsephotus bourkii, also known as Bourke's parrot, utilized a combination of Oxford Nanopore long-read technology and Paired-end Illumina short-read data to assemble the genome using the Masurca assembly pipeline. This effort has yielded a high-quality reference genome for Bourke's parrot, with potential implications for the conservation of other threatened or related bird species.
