We characterize changes in gene expression during late ageing in intestinal epithelium-derived cells through RNA-Seq approaches and show that gene expression is highly stable during ageing. Overall design: RNA-Seq profile from sorted mouse small intestinal differentiated enterocytes and stem cells performed in triplicates of adult and aged animals. A subset of differentially expressed genes was validated by RT-qPCR on additional samples.
