The Level of Living Survey in Slovenia, 1984

Respondents have been asked to describe their living conditions - e.g. health status, education, employment, working conditions, economic resources, housing standards, family and social integration, leisure activities, political resources. Among topics are house, dwelling size, rent, quality, complaints, satisfaction, neighborhood shopping and public transport facilities, and contacts with friends. Another area concerned family, with questions dealing with marital status, number of children and their age, and household composition. Respondents with children were asked about child day-care or about school. Work satisfaction, quality of employment, education and income were also included. Respondents reported on their recreation activities, memberships in voluntary associations, victim of criminal acts and exposure to shocking experiences, social activities and political participation, church attendance. Health, illness, medical aid needed, physical well-being, smoking, drinking habits, contacts with social service institutions, general well-being and satisfaction represent another area. Personal data include sex, age, ethnic background and education.
