The study evaluates potential protective effects of cerium oxide nanoparticles (nanoceria) against oxidative stress in muscle tissue, both on ground and in space Rat muscle cells (H9c2) were cultured on Earth or aboard the International Space Station, with or without nanoceria treatment. Samples were fixed, RNA was extracted and microarray (Clariom S Pico arrays, ThermoFisher Scientific 902936) analyses were performed, using 30 ng of total RNA for reverse transcription (with 500 pg of HeLa cell RNA as control). The study comprises four experimental classes (ground vs space, with or without nanoceria treatment), and a total of eight arrays: B1504, B1509 as ground, untreated samples; B1505, B1506, B1507 as ground, treated samples; B1501 as space, untreated sample; B1502, B1503 as space, treated samples
