Next-generation sequencing of the naive sheep immunoglobulin repertoire. Ovis aries

The objective of the study is to characterize the sheep (Ovis aries) immunoglobulin (IGH, IGK, and IGL) repertoire using next-generation sequencing. In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of germline gene usage, VJ rearrangement, CDR3 and antibody repertoire diversity of four healthy, non-immunized sheep. The data will serve as a foundation for future studies investigating anti-ovine antibody drug development and sequencing of antibodies produced in sheep.
