资源简介:
The dataset presented here was first uploaded to an Omeka.net website (archived here: http://web.archive.org/web/20221120225726/https://ww1antiquities.omeka.net/) and uses the Dublin Core Metadata standard (ISO 15836 and https://www.dublincore.org/specifications/dublin-core/dces/). Artefacts use the "physical object" item type while collecting service personnel use the "person" item type. Other fields using controlled term lists are: Accrual Method (DCMI standard + "field collection" which is a critical term missing from the original vocabulary); Coverage (Getty Museum Geographical Place Names Thesaurus); Creator (Getty Museum Art and Architecture Thesaurus); Medium (British Museum Materials Thesaurus); Type (British Museum Object Name Thesaurus); Birth Place (Getty Museum Geographical Place Names Thesaurus); Death Place (Getty Museum Geographical Place Names Thesaurus); Occupation (Derived from AWM Unit Diaries (WW1) listing); Rank (AWM Rank page (https://www.awm.gov.au/learn/understanding-military-structure/rank)). For detailed usage notes see the elements_output.csv file. Identifiers for artefacts are in the format C.###.### where the first numerical string corresponds to the associated service person, and the second string corresponds to the sequential artefact listing within that collection. Service Person records are in the format P.### where the numerical string is a sequential number of the service person. Images included in this dataset are only those for which the project has rights and release as CC0 - Public Domain - No Rights Reserved. The project is an initiative of the RD Milns Antiquities Museum at The University of Queensland. Contact: James Donaldson (j.donaldson@uq.edu.au or james.windsor.donaldson@gmail.com)
