Average interest rate on bank loans in Denmark 2002-2023, by type

The average interest rate on bank loans to households in Denmark was 4.8 percent in the first quarter of 2023, higher than the rate for business loans and mortgages. Between 2012 and 2021, the interest rate of all types of bank loans had been decreasing steadily in the Nordic country. Nevertheless, interest rates started to grow again since late 2022.
