Exposure to Food Chain Contaminants in Nunavik: Evaluating Spatial and Time Trends Among Pregnant Women & Implementing Effective Health Communication for Healthy Pregnancies and Children

This 4-year project aims at contributing to on-going international biomonitoring efforts on long-range environmental contaminants exposure among pregnant women in Nunavik. This is done by evaluating the comprehension and effectiveness of health and dietary recommendations among pregnant women, caregivers and the general population as well as at implementing preventive actions at the community/regional scale. Using this interdisciplinary and intersectoral approach, this project will set the ground work to promote healthy pregnancies and children at local, regional and international scales.
