Measuring the Effectiveness of Public Support for High-Potential Businesses, 2012-2016

This data collection evaluates how UK government support programmes (Growth Impact Pilot, Innovation Vouchers, GrowthAccelerator) impact the commercial and innovative growth of high-potential SMEs. The study aims to rigorously assess firm-level outcomes, including intellectual property generation and commercial expansion.

Currently, this deposit contains the project's open-access assets: a Prediction Survey (questionnaire) capturing expert forecasts of programme impacts, Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and detailed programme metadata.

Due to strict data sharing agreements, the underlying administrative microdata (Department for Business and Trade, Innovate UK and Longitudinal Business Dataset) is restricted to the ONS Secure Research Service and cannot be shared openly. Therefore, this collection provides the necessary data dictionaries and access pathways for appropriately accredited researchers.
