Field monitoring of a 5-story, precast concrete parking garage

Ambient vibration measurements and triggered aftershock recordings were taken on a five story parking garage. The parking garage was a precast concrete structure with a helical ramp configuration. Perimeter and interior walls provided the lateral force resisting system. The structure was damaged during the Christchurch earthquake and subsequent aftershocks.
During field measurements, the building was being repaired. This involved replacing first floor wall panels and reinstating wall-to-floor connections. Four perimeter wall repairs were completed and two panels were demolished in preparation for a cast-in-place replacement during the site visit.
The structure's latitude and longitude are -43.51033 and 172.61906, respectively.
