NGS-based assesement of miRNA expression and post-transcriptional modification kinetics in human primary CD4+ T cells upon short-term stimulation with antiCD3/antiCD28 or IFN I. Overall design: miRNA samples were obtained from resting CD4+ T cells, isolated from different healthy donors, after stimulation with antiCD3/antiCD28 or IFN I for 3h, 6h and 24h, or no stimulation (t0h). Libraries were produced and subject to NGS with the Illumina HiSeq 2500 system, and sequencing reads processed to obtain expression estimates of known miRNA molecules described in miRBase (release 22).
