One complete WITOIL Cloud (MEDSLIK-II) oil-spill simulation, packaged to document the full output structure of the WITOIL EDITO service. The run simulates a surface oil spill off Bari, Italy (southern Adriatic Sea) using the MEDSLIK-II Lagrangian model (https://www.medslik-ii.org/), forced by Copernicus Marine currents, ECMWF winds, and GEBCO bathymetry. Scenario: release at 41.2035°N, 16.8036°E; start 2026-06-22 12:00 UTC; 24 h simulation (1800 s time step); 18 h continuous release; 28 °API oil; 150 m output grid. Headline product — oil_concentration.nc (gridded surface oil concentration, dims time=24, lat=1633, lon=1229): concentration(time, lat, lon) — surface oil concentration, float64, units kg/mˆ2 (areal surface density). lat_gravity_center(time), lon_gravity_center(time) — slick centroid (centre of gravity) track. lat(lat), lon(lon) — regular grid coordinate axes (degrees north / east). time(time) — int64, hours since run start (2026-06-22 12:00 UTC). Unit caveat. The concentration variable is an areal surface density — mass of oil per unit sea-surface area, with the literal file attribute units = "kg/m^2". Note this is a per-area density (kg m⁻²), not the per-volume concentration. Also included (full service output, see MANIFEST.md): the Lagrangian particle state (spill_properties.nc, 24975 parcels × 24 times), the oil mass-balance budget (oil_fate.txt), rendered maps + animation, derived GeoTIFFs, and the (sanitized) run configuration config.toml. Copernicus/CDS credentials have been stripped to <YOUR_*> placeholders. The third-party forcing inputs (CMEMS currents, ERA5 + IFS winds, GEBCO bathymetry) are included in bari_24h_fullrun.zip, redistributed under their respective provider licences — see the Attributions section in README.md / MANIFEST.md.
