资源简介:
A two-group pretest-posttest randomized clinical trial was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the Spiral Stretch technique on range of motion, pain, and disability in patients with adhesive capsulitis. Participants were divided into two groups. The experimental group (Group 1) received the Spiral Stretch technique along with conventional physiotherapy, while the control group (Group 2) received conventional physiotherapy alone. The conventional physiotherapy included a moist heat pack, ultrasound, Codman's pendular exercises, finger ladder exercises, and wand exercises, each session lasting 40 minutes, administered three times a week for four weeks. Baseline and post-intervention assessments were conducted using the Universal Goniometer, Numerical Pain Rating Scale, and Shoulder Pain and Disability Index to measure shoulder range of motion, pain, and disability. The study findings revealed that although both groups showed significant improvements across all outcome measures, the experimental group demonstrated superior results, highlighting the effectiveness of the Spiral Stretch technique in increasing range of motion, alleviating pain, and reducing disability in patients with adhesive capsulitis.
