AFAD-Derived Earthquake Catalogue and Station Metadata for the 2025 Sındırgı–Balıkesir Earthquake Sequence-Swarm Study, NW Türkiye

This dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Kinematics of the 2025 Sındırgı–Balıkesir earthquake sequence-swarm reveals a tectonic–fluid–magmatic continuum in NW Türkiye.” The record contains the regional earthquake catalogue and seismic-station metadata used as the source dataset for the study. The earthquake catalogue was obtained from the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority of Türkiye (AFAD) and is provided in its original fixed-width Nordic/SEISAN-style text format. Each earthquake block may include origin time, latitude, longitude, hypocentral depth, magnitude, location-quality parameters, azimuthal gap, station-level P- and S-wave arrival-time picks, amplitude measurements, and spectral information where available. The accompanying station metadata file includes network code, station code, longitude, latitude, elevation, province, and district. The deposited regional catalogue covers Western Anatolia during 2015–2025 and is broader than the final quality-controlled earthquake and phase-pick subsets used in the manuscript. The subsets used for earthquake relocation, seismic tomography, migration analysis, kinematic-model comparison, and magnitude–frequency analysis were selected according to the spatial, temporal, and quality-control criteria described in the manuscript and its Supplementary Information. The original catalogue file has been preserved without modification. Users should cite both this Zenodo record and the AFAD Turkish National Seismic Network dataset when reusing the data.
