Btg2 wild type (Btg2-WT) and Btg2 knockout (Btg2-KO) mice of male and of female were fasted for 48 hours and then re-fed for 24 hours. On each time point, body weight of each mouse, lean body mass and fat mass were measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA). We found Btg2-KO mice consume less fat mass during starvation in both sexes, and have lower bone mineral density in female.
对Btg2野生型(Btg2-WT)和Btg2敲除(Btg2-KO)雄性和雌性小鼠进行了为期48小时的禁食,随后再进行24小时的进食。在每个时间点,通过双能X射线吸收法(DEXA)测量了每只小鼠的体重、瘦体质量和脂肪质量。研究发现,在性别双方的禁食期间,Btg2-KO小鼠消耗的脂肪质量减少,且雌性小鼠的骨矿物质密度降低。
