The impact of dietary walnut meal supplementation on the microbial community in the cecum of Diqing Tibetan pigs

This study aimed to investigate the effects of replacing 50% of soybean meal with walnut meal on the cecal microbiota of Diqing Tibetan pigs. A controlled trial was designed, in which Diqing Tibetan pigs were randomly divided into two groups: the control group was fed a conventional corn-soybean meal diet, while the experimental group received a diet in which 50% of the soybean meal was replaced with walnut meal. The microbial communities in the cecal contents of both groups were systematically analyzed using metagenomic sequencing technology.
